God has blessed New Way with a faithful and active Board of
Directors, a strong and growing base of donors, and a knowledgeable staff.
Those who have been involved from the very beginning have had
the opportunity to serve and provide housing for 80 families.
New Way provides homeless families with a safe, clean room
and warm beds to sleep in. Each mom and child receives a brand new homemade
quilt when they come into New Way. It is theirs to keep and to cuddle.
One of the statistics we keep is called bed nights—that means
how many beds are full at our facility each night.
Bed Nights –
2003 -- 2,501
2004--- 4,386
2005 -- 5,116
2006 --6,081
2007 over 3,000
Total : 21,084 bed nights.
New Way not only provides beds but also a program that
includes case management, Life-skill: classes, referrals to other agencies that
can assist them, and help with housing. Those who graduate from the program also
receive follow up services as long they need them. New Way can be their gateway
to a new and bright future.
