New Way Ministries'
"Transitional Housing" Program
New Way Ministries
is a "Transitional Housing" program for single women and children who
find themselves in a housing crisis without shelter due to domestic
violence or other emergency situations where they need temporary housing
for 30-60-90 days to get their lives back in order. There will be
intensive counseling and mentoring to help these folks become
self-sustaining and self sufficient again.
Most women and
children would probably stay at New Way Ministries for about six months.
During that time, they would attend life-skills training sessions
covering everything from budgeting to health and safety. They'll work
with their case managers and mentors on achieving their personal goals,
and over time, become increasingly independent. The women will also pay
fees to stay at the facility, which, if they're paid consistently, will
give them a stable rental history when they go to find permanent
housing.
The ultimate goal of
New Way Ministries is to have every woman leave with a place to live, a
means of supporting herself, and a stable home environment for her
children.
